  • Students and their grownup discover the pleasure of movement through activities, story telling, and music. These beginning classes introduce children to a large group focused learning environment, while building stronger relationships with their grownup through dance movement. Students are immersed into an environment which allows them to explore working with other students. Students will develop both large and fine motor skills in class which highlight observation, creative exploration, imitation, and repetition.

  • Creative Movement allows students a space for creative exploration, improvisation, and expression through dance movement. Children will continue to develop large and fine motor skills while adding coordination, rhythm, teamwork, and following directions to their current skill set. Music and activities are used to help students understand how their body moves using fundamental dance movement patterns. This class allows the student to learn dance skills without a “right or wrong” way of performing movement.

  • Tap is a dance form which focuses on the energetic rhythm, musicality, and strength of the feet. Class emphasis is on developing proper tap technique, producing clear tap sounds, and finding joy in the performance of their skills. Exercises and combinations focus on building flexibility in the knees and ankles, increasing coordination, and developing musicality while tapping. Each class is a building block upon the next. Students use techniques they have learned in previous years to expand their dance abilities.

  • Musical Theatre is the perfect class for the student who wants to be on Broadway one day. Incorporating dancing and acting this class will focus on character development, performance skills, musicality, and telling stories through dance and song. Theatre classes are a great way to build confidence, develop creative thinking and problem solving, learn how to communicate with others, and share their talents loud and proud!

  • Jazz focuses on learning proper jazz dance technique such as isolation of the body, improving performance quality and developing complex rhythms and patterns. Students will be exposed to various styles of jazz such as Broadway, Street, and Contemporary to help develop a well rounded dancer. Class curriculum is based on ballet technique layered with traditional jazz movement and includes proper warm-up, stretches, isolation, across-the-floor progressions, and combinations. Students use techniques they have learned in previous years to expand their dance abilities. Each class is a building block upon the next.

  • Ballet emphasizes balance, grace, and strength. Each ballet class focuses on fundamental ballet techniques. Students are challenged with choreography and combinations which enhance their knowledge and skills. Students are introduced to the structure of a ballet class and the concepts of proper posture, turn-out, and etiquette to give them the foundation they need for further ballet studies. Students use techniques they have learned in previous years to expand their dance abilities. Each class is a building block upon the next.

  • Hip hop is a high-energy class which infuses the latest styles of street dancing, breaking, popping, and locking. Classes will encourage students to step outside of the box by bringing their own individual style and personality to the movements. Hip hop dance requires students build strength and stamina to successfully perform moves; therefore, class includes upper and lower body conditioning as well as a rigorous warm-up to help prepare students for more intense movement. Students use techniques they have learned in previous years to expand their dance abilities. Each class is a building block upon the next.

  • Lyrical is the blending of jazz and ballet techniques using a modern twist on classical movement to express the lyrics of a song. Students will learn how to express a wide range of emotions through their dance based on musical interpretation. Students will learn how to quickly change tempo and create sharp and clean transitions. These classes blend the sustained, controlled movement of ballet with the freedom, power, and dynamics of jazz and modern. Each class is a building block upon the next. Students use techniques they have learned in previous years to expand their dance abilities.
